Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to my blog, The Knitting Wife.

It’s been awhile since the last time I decided to have a blog and started to post anything related to myself, my cooking and now, my odd passion for knitting.

I decided to start knitting, because 1st My grandma, Pura, used to sew and do things with yarn. I even remember having used a couple of sweaters made by her when I was a baby. 2nd I needed to work on my patience, which my tolerance can sometimes be very little hahaha. :p  My husband says I am obsessed with it, which might be true, but I don’t want him to know it. 3rd it keeps me occupy when I am not cooking or doing anything related to the house or my family.

My passion for cooking begun between 2001-2003 when I discovered it was my way to show those around me how important they were to me, how much I loved them. This love led me to study Hotel Administration with a major in Food and Beverages in the Dominican Republic and Baker and Pastry in Argentina, in 2009. Most of my work has being in the Hotel Industry and in Retail, Grocery Store.

For now, I am trying to balance my life and everything I do, and will like to focus this blog in what passionate me.

As for someone that just recently became a wife, I will be posting about food, knitting and budget.  Bear with me when it comes to Knitting, because I am not good at all, but I am still learning.

In the pictures below you’ll be able to see the first project I made which was a small purse, still to be finished and the first scarf.

I will start posting links of the tutorials I used to do my knitting and sites I use to recreate recipes or even books I use to cook.

Hope to see you around.

Love,
Rosaida M.
